Educator Profile: Grace Conyers
Grace Conyers is a science and math instructor that believes in the powers of creativity, investigation, and hands on science. She has been teaching homeschooled kids while running her company, Insanitek Research and Development, for over two years. In the evening she can be found investing her time in family, friends, tutoring, and as an Enviornmental Science Adjunct Professor at Kaplan College.
Grace teaches because she believes that teaching and educators should open doors of opportunity for the next generation. She wants to open as many doors as possible to show people of all ages that the possibilities for their future are only stymied by their imaginations. To do this she also attempts to give the people she works with confidence in themselves, the knowledge and skills the need to follow their dreams, and the courage to start moving along the path to get there.
Grace teaches
– Chemistry – Archaeology – Physics – Anthropology – Math – Environmental Science – Earth sciences – Mentoring kids with ADHD/ADD
Her teaching methodology is part hands-on and part lecture; it’s always energetic, and full of life. She likes to challenge students to find their own way by seeking answers and testing experiments — after they understand the basics of the topic. You can expect to have fun with life, go for walks, get a bit messy, and challenge yourself along the way, too.
