I admit it. When I was first studying division, I couldn’t remember what the parts were called. Divisor? Huh? Never mind being able to rearrange them into different styles. I simply had trouble remembering which part was the divisor or the dividend. When I started teaching, I discovered I wasn’t the only one with this problem.
Naturally, a quick, fun review sheet was in order that goes through the basics of dividing. This is that worksheet.
At the top you’ll find a review that covers:
- The different ways division problems can be written.
- How to read the problems out loud and how to read them as word problems.
- How to write the word problems.
- Parts of the division problem, quotient, divisor, and dividend in a labelled diagram
The bottom half of the page are a few sample problems to work through to double check your skills.
This also comes with a second file that has all the answers on it so you can quickly check yourself.
