Description
This listing is for a crochet pattern, not the doll. Directions for commissioning me to make a doll are at the bottom of this listing.
Sailor Moon is an anime character that originally ran in the through the early and mid-1990s. It became a cult classic, and continued on for fans around the world.
The “chibi” style, which is halfway represented here, means “short person” in Japanese. While this Sailor Moon is not short at 14 inches tall, the eyes and clothing details are done in a style reminiscent of the adorable chibi style.
This listing is for the crochet pattern PDF to make the doll shown. It includes detailed written instructions in crochet for the head, body, skirt, arms, legs and bow. The hair, eyes, mouth, circlet and hair decorations are more of a tutorial style, which explains in detail how to get the look shown here, but leaves plenty of room for creative license.
This tutorial can also be used to make all the Sailor Moon characters. Just change the colours, height of boots, and hair length. Voila! Instant character change. OK… maybe not instant since you still have to make the doll. =)
The current tutorial has alterations so you can make Sailors Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, or Chibiusa out of this one pattern.

~~ Can you make me one? ~~
This Sailor Moon has been a happily unexpected popular product, and many people have asked Grace if she would make one for them. The short answer: YES.
The long answer:
I’d love to make you a Sailor Moon doll. If you would like to commission me to make you this Sailor Moon doll, please send a email to customerservice@insanitek.net for current, up-to-date details on waiting list. Otherwise, here’s the deal:
♦ The price for such will be $40 due to the size and level of detail of this doll. (15% of the proceeds go to BACA still!)
♦ They take nearly 3 weeks to make each doll, and waiting list depends on how many are in the queue. (This is the detail you’d have to ask us about, as the number seems to constantly be changing.)
♦ Grace can currently make Sailors Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, and Chibusa in their first costumes as shown in the example picture.
If you don’t want to wait on Grace’s time schedule, try one of these other stores that have bought this pattern and are working from it. We’re sure they’d love to make you one if you ask nicely!
